Whether you are new to therapy or are a returning patient, our priority is helping you get better and staying better.
Our Prestige outpatient clinics are warm, welcoming, and fully equipped. We have eight convenient clinic locations across Middle Tennessee staffed by licensed therapists and clinical staff.
However, if you're limited by travel, injury, or surgery we offer professional in-home therapy services across Middle-to-West Tennessee counties.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Our professional therapists will create a personalized treatment plan unique to your diagnosis and individual goals.
Not sure what to expect for your first physical therapy appointment and future appointments at our clinics? Please take a moment and review the items provided in the list below:
ARRIVAL TIME
Patients should arrive at least 15 minutes early for the first appointment in order to complete all necessary new patient forms.
CHECKING IN
Check in with the front desk when you arrive and wait until you receive instruction from our clinicians to begin your exercises or initial eval.
IDENTIFICATION
Bring in a photo identification card, like a driver's license or state ID, as well as your insurance card if applicable.
INSURANCE
Our team members may go over your specific insurance plan benefits with you. Please note, you may owe a co-pay depending on your plan.
EVALUATION
During your first visit, one of our licensed physical therapists will evaluate and determine a treatment plan for you and your needs.
CLOTHING TO WEAR
Wearing comfortable clothing that is easy to move around in—like gym clothes—helps our clinicians access your treatment areas.
ASSISTIVE DEVICES
If you have any, please bring your medical assistive devices currently being used like a brace, splint, or crutches.
SCHEDULING
After your initial evaluation, you may schedule follow-up appointments based on your treatment plan of care.

What does a professional Physical Therapist do?Physical Therapists are licensed health care providers who help you maximize your mobility, manage your pain or chronic conditions, avoid surgery and prescription drugs, and improve your overall physical function and movement capabilities.

How will Physical Therapy help me and my injury?After your initial evaluation, a Physical Therapist will create a customized treatment plan to fit you and your specific needs for recovery. In a Physical Therapy session, your treatment may include anything from low-impact aerobic training, strengthening exercises, and stretching, to ultrasound, heat and ice therapies, electrical stimulation, or massage.

Where are you located and how can I receive treatments?We have eight convenient outpatient clinics across Middle Tennessee in Adamsville, Collinwood, Columbia, Hohenwald, Linden, Loretto, Parsons, and Waynesboro. Depending on your specific needs and location, we also offer home health care services. Do I have to have a referral in order to receive therapy?No, you can see a Physical Therapist to begin treatment first, without having a referral or prescription from your doctor. However, some insurances require a referral, so please contact your insurance company for detailed benefit information.

How long will my first therapy appointment be?Your first appointment will last approximately one hour and your Physical Therapist will complete a comprehensive evaluation including a medical history review, diagnostic testing, evaluation of your flexibility, strength and endurance, your current functional deficits and your goals with therapy.

Will I be in pain after my initial therapy visit?You may experience minimal and temporary muscle soreness, pain, irritation, or discomfort after some of the necessary diagnostic tests and measurements taken during your initial Physical Therapy evaluation. Please contact your therapist directly if you experience high pain levels, so they can advise you on the best steps to take for quicker pain relief.
